Geometry gets considerably more interesting when it is woven by hand. Clifton features Distant Echo's Maze textile, created by women weavers in remote mountain communities in Thailand. The pattern is precise enough to feel modern, while small variations in the weave keep it unmistakably handmade.
Finished with a lofty feather-and-down insert, it is a complete pillow with both graphic presence and the sort of softness that invites actual use. Design object, yes. Still very good for leaning against.
