Misewell was founded by brothers Vincent and Paul Georgeson, who grew up in southeastern Wisconsin spending time in their father’s basement woodshop. Both went on to study industrial design, and in 2008 they started a Milwaukee-based design studio focused on well-made objects for the home.

Their work includes pottery, lighting, planters, mirrors, furniture, and home accessories. Some pieces are handmade in their studio, while others are made by skilled artists and craftspeople across the United States. Across categories, the focus stays consistent: quality materials, modern forms, ethical production, and thoughtful function.

At Mercer, we love Misewell because the details are never accidental. A planter has a tray because plants need water. A lamp is sculptural but still useful. Their work feels practical, modern, and quietly beautiful—exactly the kind of Wisconsin design intelligence we love.
